Soccer in america has not always been the best or most popular sport.

Crowds were small and there was never too much hype.  That is until Seattle got a team. the Sounders FC average huge crowds. More than 36,000 people come out to see them every time they play at home.

This is more then the average for the NBA and the NHL. Plus it is more than their home Seattle Mariners average per game.

There is no doubt the city of seattle is helping to transform the mls and popularize the sport in america.
